New Dawn Records are very pleased to announce that we will be releasing the new album “Dopeliss” by rapper and producer Az Izz from the legendary New Jersey crew The Outsidaz on July 3rd 2020.

The group were particularly well known for collaborative work with The Fugees, Wu Tang and a new upcoming crew from Detroit, D12, a fact acknowledged by Eminem several times throughout his “Slim Shady” LP.

Members including Rah Digga and Pace Won went on to pursue solo careers, while Az Izz formed his own development imprint for young artists and producing soundtracks for various tv, film and sports networks. He returned to the hip hop fold 2012 with the release of his solo album “Born in Sin, Shaped in Iniquity” followed in 2018 by “Sir Aubrey King”, and most recently appeared on Shade 45 last year as a guest of DJ Eclipse.

Largely self produced with additional contributions by Qua Z Mo, 3rdRell and DJ Profluent, “Dopeliss” represents the evolving sound of the east coast, mixing the traditional with the contemporary knitted together like the fabric of hip hop itself. Featured artists include fellow Outsidaz D.U. and Pace Won with New Jersey further represented by Drift, Rube the Difference, Jaja Kenyatta and more.

As a label we are always delighted to be working with artists of the highest caliber, and in this case with a history not dissimilar to our own. There is a further coincidence given our in house promotional division UrbanElite PR have previously worked with Rah Digga and D12.

Singles “Gettin’ It”, “Nunya” and “Ghetto” b/w “Crazy” will be released over April, May and June. We have just published the audio teaser and video trailer for the album on Soundcloud and Youtube

This of course is the follow up to “The Seymour Chronicles EP” which dropped only last week, and is available from all major online streaming platforms and digital stores. Distributed by Ingrooves / Universal.

Production on the album is courtesy of Newark native now resident in Los Angeles Clinton Place, Chicago’s DNA Beatz, Barcelona’s Sumerio Square and the UK’s Chat One. Fellow 050 Boyz group member Prince Ak is included in the Brick City contingent of featured artists together with Middy Murdock, Fly Kwa and Confucious.

This one’s for the true hip hop heads, the real deal. Get ready to crank it all the way up and give those neck muscles a serious workout !!

Singles “Word of God”, “God’s Sympathy” and God’s Mercy” will release over March, April and May. Meantime, we’ve just released an audio teaser and video trailer of the album on Soundcloud and Youtube for a little early flavour

We are delighted to announce the release of this new EP today by New Jersey rapper Tru Trilla.

“The Seymour Chronicles” is entirely produced by another Newark native Joey Loax and features Tru’s fellow 050 Boyz members Prince Ak and RIQ together with long time affiliate Fly Kwa.

Singles “Warzone” and “20 to Life” have enjoyed heavy airplay rotation worldwide over the past month, a reflection of the hard bars and quality rhymes all four lyrical marksmen deliver over classic east coast gritty productions.

New single released today, the second taken from Newark rapper Tru Trilla’s “The Seymour Chronicles EP” out on March 17th.

On “20 to Life” he is joined by fellow 050 Boyz member Prince Ak as they load up the verbal barrels and take aim at wack rappers with more dresses in their locker than rhymes ! Fierce bars over the classic eastcoast sound produced by another New Jersey native Joey Loax.

The EP is the warm up to Tru’s incredible new album “God of Barz” we release in May, more news about that shortly.
