Just to round off the old year, we put together a special mix with some of the singles we’ve released from 2002 to 2022 by artists from the US & UK, all reppin’ the origins of dope rhymes, bangin’ beats & sick turntablism.

All of our singles, EP and album releases are now available from our official BANDCAMP PAGE and of course you’ll also find them streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal and many other digital platforms. New Dawn Records are pleased to announce the release today of the new AA side single “Wolves”, the fifth single to be taken from the album “Lead by Example” by Ramson Badbonez, his debut as a producer which dropped on August 27th.

Here Ramson returns to mic duties alongside fellow London rappers Phoenix da Icefire (ex Triple Darkness) and Cyclonious, all cutting a swathe through fallen kingpins and street tyrants in a barrage of heavy verbal artillery. 

On the specially commissioned remix they are joined by renowned UK rapper Genesis Elijah.  Produced by Frost Gamble, originally of NY State and now operating out of Canada, the combination of highest calibre beats and rhymes makes this an authentic killer cut.

Ramson will be showcasing a number of the album tracks at London’s Brixton Jamm on Friday November 12th as part of a joint headline show with Phoenix da Icefire and Husky Brown who will be performing their own album “Panacea”.  Others appearing on the night include King Kashmere, Black Chronical and Prospects, hosted by DJ Jazz T and Peaches. New Dawn Records are pleased to announce the release today of the new single “Lead by Example” by London producer Ramson Badbonez.

The title track from his album out on August 27th, it’s the second following last month’s “Stay True” featuring Reks, Ruste Juxx and Blacastan.

The new joint featuring Ghana’s finest Recognize Ali and Brooklyn’s acclaimed lyrical marksmen Skyzoo and Juxx Diamondz with cuts by the UK’s Jazz T has enjoyed phenomenal radio support in the UK, Europe and US for the past couple of weeks, and is another early representation of the highest quality hip hop present throughout the album. All the more remarkable given this is Ramson’s debut release as a producer, this is a premium cut by any standard.

New Dawn Records are very pleased to announce the release of the new AA side single “Ghetto” b/w “Crazy” by Brick City rapper and producer Az Izz, formerly of the legendary New Jersey group The Outsidaz.

Following “Gettin’ It” and “Nunya” released in April and May respectively, this is the third to be taken from the new album “Dopeliss” out on July 3rd which fuses the sound of hip hop through the eras.

From the classic hard edged soul infused sound of the east coast as represented here in “Ghetto” to the high octane electronica of “Nunya” and contemporary flavours of joints such as “Crazy” and “Gunz n Dice Games”, it’s a skillful blend marking the journey which both the genre and Az has travelled over the past couple of decades.

New Dawn Records are very proud to present the explosive new album by Brick City rapper Tru Trilla, available on all major streaming platforms and digital stores today.

Together with his “Seymour Chronicles EP” we released in March, both products were over a year in the making, but the wait has been definitely worth it.

Just as with the Phoenix da Icefire and Husky Brown album “Panacea” we released earlier this month, it is music of this caliber that played a major role in our decision to re-launch the label last year, and in Tru’s case not only does he plant a flag for the Garden State but also for the classic sound of eastcoast hip hop.

Unsurprisingly, his singles “Word of God”, “God’s Sympathy” and “God’s Mercy” enjoyed a fantastic reception by onlines and radio DJ’s worldwide, appreciative of the quality of lyricism and production on offer, a throwback to the days when hip hop really did bring the noise and had something to say.

On the album, Newark natives Middy Murdock, Fly Kwa, Confucious and fellow 050 Boyz group member Prince Ak intensify the energy with their own gritty rhymes. The production brings extra layers and dynamics courtesy of Chicago’s DNA Beatz, Barcelona’s Sumerio Square, the UK’s Chat One and award winning Clinton Place (aka Jamal Nueve), originally of New Jersey and now resident in Los Angeles.

This one really is for the heads, the hip hop connoisseurs. It’s not designed to be faux stylistic background music, it’s there to give your neck muscles one helluva workout and consume your soul. This is the real deal, set the dial to full volume and enjoy the ride.

A busy March concludes for us with the release of the new single “Word of God” by New Jersey rapper Tru Trilla, produced by Chicago’s DNA Beatz.

This is the first to be taken from the album “God of Barz” out on May 29th which of course follows hot on the heels of Tru’s “The Seymour Chronicles EP” which we released only a couple of weeks ago on March 17th.
