Just to round off the old year, we put together a special mix with some of the singles we’ve released from 2002 to 2022 by artists from the US & UK, all reppin’ the origins of dope rhymes, bangin’ beats & sick turntablism.

All of our singles, EP and album releases are now available from our official BANDCAMP PAGE and of course you’ll also find them streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal and many other digital platforms. New Dawn Records are delighted to announce the release of the fantastic new album “Dopeliss” by Brick City rapper & producer Az Izz, formerly of the legendary New Jersey group The Outsidaz.

Together with Pace Won, Young Zee, Rah Digga and D.U., the Brick City crew were noted for their work with The Fugees, Wu Tang and a new emerging force from Detroit, D12. More recently pursuing a career in tv, film and sports music production, Az has returned to the hip hop fold with his first major solo album in several years.

Largely self produced with additional contributions by Qua Z Mo, DJ 3rdRell and DJ Profluent, the guest featured artists include several of his fellow former group members and further luminaries from the local independent scene including Drift, Rube the Difference and Jaja Kenyatta.

From boom bap to hard driving electronic beats, the production maps the evolution of the east coast sound underpinned lyrically by the traditional art of storytelling, street life, aspirations and struggles. Back in the game with another flag planted for the Garden State, it’s a diverse and engaging release for hip hop heads across the board.

New Dawn Records are very pleased to announce the release of the new AA side single “Ghetto” b/w “Crazy” by Brick City rapper and producer Az Izz, formerly of the legendary New Jersey group The Outsidaz.

Following “Gettin’ It” and “Nunya” released in April and May respectively, this is the third to be taken from the new album “Dopeliss” out on July 3rd which fuses the sound of hip hop through the eras.

From the classic hard edged soul infused sound of the east coast as represented here in “Ghetto” to the high octane electronica of “Nunya” and contemporary flavours of joints such as “Crazy” and “Gunz n Dice Games”, it’s a skillful blend marking the journey which both the genre and Az has travelled over the past couple of decades.

Following on from last month’s “Gettin’ It”, this new electro banger produced by Qua Z Mo has Az on the front foot from the outset. Packing the verbal artillery, targets are placed in the sights and gauntlets thrown down through a series of combative rhymes and punchline bars.
