We are pleased to announce that, finally, our new Bandcamp page has been launched

Initially we have uploaded our entire digital back catalogue there, with the options of full EP, album and individual track downloads provided. Check full availability HERE

We will broaden out the page to all formats over time, and we’d like to thank Bandcamp’s Head of Label and Artist liaison for the support provided during this process.

In addition, at their request, we were happy to assist several artists in the design and setting up of their own new Artist Pages. Click on the artist names to go directly to their pages – TRU TRILLA, PHOENIX DA ICEFIRE, AZ IZZ

Each allows fans to contact the artists directly and connect with them on social media via the links on the main page and by clicking the icons on their banners.

Shortly after releasing his new album “God of Barz”, Brick City rapper Tru Trilla spoke with Angelo Gingerelli for US online “The Pop Break” as part of their regular NJ Next interview series.

In the feature just published this week, the Newark native discusses his early days in hip hop, the construction of the new album which includes international production, his new upcoming projects and lists his top MCs, producers and live spots in New Jersey.

Coincidentally, Tru Trilla released the first video from the album during the week. “Real Rap”, produced by Barcelona’s Sumerio Square, also features fellow 050 Boyz group member Prince Ak and was shot in downtown Newark towards the end of 2019 and obviously prior to the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic. New Dawn Records are proud to present the new official music video “Real Rap” by Brick City rapper Tru Trilla.

Filmed in Newark, New Jersey towards the end of 2019, the track taken from the album “God of Barz” was produced by Barcelona’s Sumerio Square and features fellow 050 Boyz group member Prince Ak.

Released on Youtube for the first time today

The album dropped on May 29th 2020 and has further production by Chicago’s DNA Beatz, the UK’s Chat One and award winning Clinton Place, aka Jamal Nueve originally of NJ and now resident in LA.

New Jersey natives Middy Murdock, Fly Kwa and Middy Murdock are the additional guest featured artists.

Previous singles have received extensive online media coverage and worldwide radio airplay including Chuck D’s Rapstation and both DJ Eclipse and DJ Premier on Shade 45, not to mention many more spread throughout Europe, the UK, USA and Canada.

We truly appreciate everyone’s support, especially given these testing times experienced by all.

Chicago producer DNA Beatz has laced the joint with a bass heavy electro beat which reaches inside and pulls out the soul, with all three Brick City verbal assassins taking it in turns to unleash ferocious lyrical firepower in an unrelenting salvo aimed at all contenders, laying down gauntlets all over the battlefield.

A busy March concludes for us with the release of the new single “Word of God” by New Jersey rapper Tru Trilla, produced by Chicago’s DNA Beatz.

This is the first to be taken from the album “God of Barz” out on May 29th which of course follows hot on the heels of Tru’s “The Seymour Chronicles EP” which we released only a couple of weeks ago on March 17th.

The album also includes production by Clinton Place aka Jamal Nueve, a New Jersey native now resident in Los Angeles, Barcelona’s Sumerio Square and the UK’s Chat One. Fellow 050 Boyz group member Prince Ak is included in the Brick City contingent of featured artists alongside Middy Murdock, Fly Kwa and Confucious.

New Dawn Records are proud to announce the release of two upcoming projects by Brick City’s lyrical marksman Tru Trilla in 2020.

“The Seymour Chronicles EP” out on March 17th is the precursor for his incredible new album “God of Barz” which drops May 29th.

Our in house promotional division UrbanElite PR worked with Tru previously in 2015 when as part of 050 Boyz they released the classic album “Everything 050” resulting in worldwide media coverage and live appearances on Sirius XM as guests of DJ Eclipse and DJ Premier.

The crew’s Prince Ak and RIQ together with regular affiliate Fly Kwa make guest appearances on the new EP which as you’d expect is packed with fierce rhymes, hooklines and hard bars with all delivering high on the verbal ballistics scale. Entirely produced by another New Jersey native Joey Loax, it represents the classic sound of the east coast and serves a tasty appetizer for the main course in May.

As a label, we relish the prospect of working with an artist of Tru’s caliber and style which represents perfectly our direction of travel as we enter an exciting new phase since re-launching last year.
